The Urban League Young Professionals of Pittsburgh (ULYP-Pittsburgh), an auxiliary of the Urban League of Pittsburgh, is composed of professionals who live, work and serve in the greater Pittsburgh region between the ages of twenty-one (21) and thirty-nine (39). We are professionals who are committed to serving the greater Pittsburgh region through social and civic engagement.
(Urban League Sunday 2009) This new developing force is composed of key local talent and includes a sizeable following of the “who's who” among Pittsburgh's young professionals. They represent a wide array of occupations and businesses – experts in the legal, political, banking, finance, marketing, education, engineering and entertainment industries, to name a few.
ULYP-Pittsburgh is one of 36 chapters of the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP), which serves as the umbrella organization under the National Urban League to support the League’s 5-point empowerment agenda:
