OUR LOCAL COMMITMENT

On a local level the ULYP-Pittsburgh goals are as follows: (i) to support the Urban League of Pittsburgh in achieving its overarching initiatives of equal access and opportunity, self-reliance, and parity for African Americans in the greater Pittsburgh region (ii) to provide a forum for young professionals that fosters professional development, community service, social awareness, political participation, and private enterprise for young African American professionals in the greater Pittsburgh region; (iii) to develop outreach programs targeted to African American youth who reside in the greater Pittsburgh region.

Designed to draw more young people to the National Urban League movement, members of ULYP-Pittsburgh are attracting the next generation of young leaders, entrepreneurs and civil servants for the Urban League thus the region.
